Veronica,

There are many ways to sell lots even though the market for land sales is quite soft.

A. You can advertise them for free in this site for free and your add will be posted to many other sites in the area. We receive thousands of views daily.

B. Craigslist is also a very good site to advertise for free.

C. The Local newspaper is also a low cost way of advertising. If your add cost $ 30.00 dollars a month that is only $ 360.00 a year. Thats a pretty low rate to sell something.

D. If you don't want to have to mess with doing any paper work or you don't want to have to deal with people calling you. List it with a agent. Agents are a very good way of selling property when you don't have the time, knowledge or when you just don't want to deal with it. Just make sure your agent does a market survey of all the lots sold in your area in the last month. This will give you a price. At that point they should be able to tell you their fee and you can make your own decision. Please understand that pricing is key since the market is slow.

E. Signs. If you get an agent make sure they put a sign with the price on it. If you do it yourself put a sign with a price on it. I find people that are traveling the area daily will see it and usually they are the most apt to buy the property. Putting the price on the property just saves time. It avoids people that are just messing around.
